During initial boot-up. You'll see a message about the computer checking its
RAM, and counting up from zero, in KBytes, as it goes through the test
sequence. (You can see it now if you re-boot the computer.) Cold boots only
-- during a warm boot, most BIOSes usually skip the test sequence for the RAM.
