: Has anyone ever tried using the iS/L converters ?
Yes. Especially the 1.7x B converter for the iS-3000 is very interesting and
can be used with lenses from 85mm upward; the combinations with the
telezooms 65-200, 85-250 and 50-250 is also interesting. At focal lengths
shorter as 85mm you get tunnel-like vignetting.
: Also, I would like to hear your opinion/experiences with the iS/L macro
: converters. It is claimed that they are better than the OM series.
Also true. The iS/L converters are achromatic, the OM close-up lenses
(except the one made for the 80mm Auto Macro) as single element.
