It really depends on the effect that you are after. Most babies have lovely
unblemished skin and for this reason I would use a slow, very slow film,
probably Ilford Pan f. The very fine grain will give great sharpness to your
prints, but the softness of the babies skin will actually be emphasised by
the very sharpness of the film. I would also use a light blue filter.

Natural light is good, but with a 50ASA film it may not be enough so bounce
some flash or point your gun straight up and bounce it of a piece of white
card.

Use a slightly long lens. 135mm is great if you have enough room.

Use plenty of patience.
