An perfect example for a 100-300mm is Tokina's AT-X constant f/4 manual focus.
With ED glass, I highly reccommend it. I used to use it primarily for fashion
at 300mm wide open for the shallow depth of field, and sharpness. A pristine
example should be about $275 or so.
