You have to use colour, but it is difficult to get the colour to be greys (if that makes sense). Paul R's question also applies to the use of Lyson monochrome inks in the colour slots of an Epson. According to the advert that is the intention. Haven't tried it though -- will one of these days. TomPaul, I use an Epson 870 and the printer driver allows you to specify 'use Blackink' only. It does a pretty good job - but I assume if you had a range of grey inks you could do better in the highlight areas... Interested to hear your resultsJez Slightly OT, but I am wondering if anyone on the list has used Lyson or similar Quad black inks for B&W printing, as I am thinking of taking the plunge by buying the Epson 1160.> Paul Reynolds -- <|_:-)_|> C M I Barker Cambridgeshire, England. +44 (0)7092 251126 mailto:imagopus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ... a nascent photo library. < This message was delivered via the Olympus Mailing List > < For questions, mailto:owner-olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > < Web Page: http://Zuiko.sls.bc.ca/swright/olympuslist.html > |
