Keep both.
The f3.5~4.5 is a fine small lightweight traveling lens, comes with the
close-focus bonus but its effectively F4.5 viewfinder is a bit dark making
precise focusing a bit difficult, especially at the 35mm side.
The f3.6, a lot bigger and heavier as you know was the professional version
of the standard zoom, offering best quality combined with a relatively
bright viewfinder and a very effective zooming lens hood. Hopefully you got
this hood too because they are difficult to find. It has no close focus
capabilities but a close-up lens or short extension tube takes care of that.
