Subject: [OM] infrared amd OM's
sorry for the tired question: is it correct that are OM's NOT
suitable for infrared work due to a dimpled film pressure plate?
i thought i recalled this.
tho the 50/1.8 sitting on my desk seems to have an extra red mark @
f4 on the depth scale...
Also, if i only wish to use the "mildly infrared" films like Ilford
SFX, does it matter? or does this relate more to Kodak HIE and
its lack of backing?
thanks,
<offlist replies OK, and faster since i'm on digest.>
cheers,

Hello Brian - and all the other stalwarts of the OM list.
Just out of lurk mode for a nanosecond - unfortunately do not get to
read the list mails too often......
SFX, MACO and Konica infrared film will be fine in your OM. For Kodak
HIE wrap some 120 roll film black backing paper around the pressure
plate.
