Coincidentally, I did happen to get that issue. In the news section,
there was a report on David Bailey's recent honours, with a photo of him
holding something that definitely said "OLYMPUS" on the top. Could have
been an IS-something or one of the digital ZLRs. Wasn't actually an OM,
though.

That's been one of my approaches to landscapes & other shots where I've
got time to think about exposure, except that, historically, I've tended
to allow more latitude for the highlights, probably to my cost. I blame
the relatively low dmax on my LS20 (film scanner).
