Hi Michael,
I had a similar problem with my 135 2.8 lens when I bought it cheap at a
garage sale. I don't remember exact detail, but I know that I very
carefully removed the mount and discovered that this release button was
held in place with a flat spring which was attached to a small plastic
clip. The plastic clip had one end broken. I very carefully super glued
it. This was about 3 years ago and I have not had any further problem
with it. This was my first time with the OM system. I got the OM-1md,
50mm 1.8 and the 135 2.8 for $65. I had no idea at the time of the value
of these items and so I was not afraid of possibly damaging something by
taking it apart. Ignorance is bliss!!

I noticed that it didn't seem to lock into place.
Examination soon identified the problem -- the lens release button
is in a depressed position, and it seems stuck that way.
Please, someone tell me that there's a quick, simple, do-it-myself
solution to this problem.
