Just one question about mirror lenses. I
remember that in the star observatory I used to
go, we had a 500mm mirror lens, with a screw
mount. I don't remember the f stop, but it was
quite a canon : 30cm long and about 20cm
diameter. I guess that would be an f2.5 :-) My
photo shop estimated the value around $1500, even
if the focusing mechanism was ruined by an
a****le trying to convert it into a telescope.
Has anybody else ever seen this kind of lens ?
Doesn't seem common, does it ? Which are typical
sizes for 3rd party mirror lenses ?
