A friend and I have been discussing the relative
merits of using a bellows vs. tubes. The obvious
advantage being that tubes are more rugged, but
bellows offer greater magnification.
My friend is of the opinion that several tube sets,
and a focussing rail would be as good as a bellows.
Better considering that he prefers to take his shots
outdoors.
I find only one flaw and that is that the mounting for
the tripod will be all the way to the end, unless
there is such a thing as an extension tube with a
tripod socket in it.
Anyone else care to offer an opinion?
