Instead of blowers and canned air, I have some micro accessories for my
vacuum cleaner. One of them has a brush about the size on a camel hair
brush, though stiffer. After a photo trip I go through all my gear and
clean every trace of dust and grit off my bodies and lenses.
After cleaning in this fashion, a microfiber cloth is usually all that is
necessary to leave the glass gleaming. If I need liquid cleaner (as is more
the case with filters than lenses), I use a little denatured alcohol and
lens tissues, finishing with the microfiber cloth.
