In addition to Chris's good advice, I would just elaborate on the packaging:
Wrap/enclose body in plastic bag or wrap to protect from dust, dirt, crud.
Then wrap it in bubble wrap. Finally, surround it with the plastic "popcorn"
packaging material in a good sturdy cardboard box. Then when that idiot at
the P.O. (either U.S. or Canadian or both) throws that box 20 feet into a
cart when sorting parcels, it will be just fine.
I used to work for the U.S. P.O. I'm innocent. I never did it. But I saw
others do it, daily. Assume it will receive the worst handling, and package
accordingly. The P.O. assumes you have done so.
