Spam is a processed meat product looked upon here in the US about as well as
vegemite is in Australia. Some folks like it, but the majority say
something akin to "eeewwwww!".
It's also come to represent unwanted, unsolicited commercial crap sent to
every on the face of the earth who has an e-mail account. <g>
