I ride in the same boat except I presently have the 100mm f2 with an option
to at long last pick up the 90mm f/2 macro in mint. At $450 the price isn't
bad. I guess it boils down to what you can afford. They're two different
lenses, basically, though they "pass in the night" occasionally.
