fighting back. Then one of Oben's mites crawled across the screen. Never
seen one before but, two days after he mentions them .... voila!
Can you train them to eat fungus?

In case I didn't mail that bit to the list... the OM2SP I returned had the
disconcerting thing of having these tiny mites that crawled across the
focussing screen at slow speed. I would guess its a dust mite of some
description; it appears black when looking through the viewfinder and is a
most definite off white to grey colour when you remove the lens and find it
either on the outer surface of the screen or on the pentaprism glass.
Removing it is futile. Your camera has more of them... and eggs too.
I heard that the way to kill book mites is to wrap them in layers of
plastic bags and put them in the fridge for 24 hours. The OM2Sp I had
received two such treatments. Once in the lower section of the fridge. The
little critters survived that. The second was more hostile and subjected
them to 48 hours in the freezer. I saw no mites after that but the mirror
came off two days later so I don't know whether the two events were related.
Anyone else seen mites in their camera? I've seen it in two separate camera
bodies.
Cheers
Oben
