: table at the back of the Macrophoto group manual, Olympus shows the
: magnification range of microscopes to be 3.3X to 750X. I would assume that
: to get as low a magnification as 3.3X that they are considering the lower
: power stereo microscopes such as the VM series.
For regular microscopes there exists a low power Plan Achromat objective 1.3x.
Combined with the (N)FK 2.5x you get 3.25x.

The facts: the regular bellows goes from 36mm~198mm (with the lens in normal
position), the bellows of the PMT-35 goes from 94mm~328.5mm. I think the
difference
is big enough; every macro/micro lover should have their own PMT-35 ;)
