Great stuff, Clyde! I like the not-35's (OM?) too. Did you ever try to partial heat the SX-70s? I did it with my cigarette. Usually try to mush them while fresh (first 15 minutes or so). But have used a toaster oven, and the hot hood of a car, to keep the emulsion soft for longer. Up to a couple of hours, you can re-heat them but that's pushing it and not always successful. Not being a smoker, I'd guess a tacking iron would work for partial heat.
