In considering glasses and dioptre correction it seems to me that the vital
piece of information required is: what is the distance of the virtual image on
the focussing screen? This, after all, is what your eye has got to focus on. In
previous posts I think 2 metres was mentioned. Can anyone confrim this?
I don't seem to have to many problems focussing with my glasses on (correction
for near sightedness) but if the focussing image is at 2 metres I know this
would be near the limit of my close focus with these glasses on (yes, age has
taken its toll!).
I shall have to sign off soon for a week or so and miss all these wonderful
posts. We're off to France (Loire Valley) for 10 days - now what shall I take,
OM2S, 24mm..................mm
