Do you wear progressive bifocals? If so, they can play havoc with your
focusing. I was having LOTS of problems with poorly focused shots
because the slightest change in my eye-to-viewfinder position would
change what I thought was "in focus."
Now, I shoot without glasses using a -5 dioptric correction lens. MUCH
better!
