That's correct, Chris. I got my broken OM-2S viewfinder replaced in Seattle
at Phototronics. They were a little shaky about the parts availability at
first, but came through for me. Don't know if they'll do CLAs, but will find
out and share that finding with you all.
As you said, it pays to ask around if you get the "beyond repair" or
"obsolete" comments, or any other negative b.s. from a dealer. Ask at
ANOTHER dealer. I got a negative comment from one arrogant store owner, but
when he walked away, the salesman spoke highly of the OM system, and then
went out to his car and came back with his Nikon to compare it side by side
with the OM-2S. I was impressed with the Nikon (sorry -- somebody slap me).
He was obviously impressed with the OM-2S. Those two cameras looked like
cousins, sitting side by side (O.K., slap me again).
