Nah, just the liquid itself exposed to the air will create plenty of mercury
vapor. The point is to clean it up as quickly as possible. Even a busted
thermometer has caused mercury poisoning in children....I'm reading about
amalgams (dental fillings) right now.....it seems that one symptom of too
much mercury is irritibility.....so, I'M WARNING YA, YOU'D BETTER WATCH
IT!!!!!<g> (too many fillings in this mouth....)
Sheesh, no WONDER we have some many flame wars on this list....
