Nah, you're thinking of Auld Nick, OR, a place on the Pacific Coast founded
by the marooned crew of a Scottish whaler in the 19th century. Apparently it
is a bit like Brigadoon, only appears every 25 January. Everything is
painted red. Was the prototype for the western town in that Clint Eastwood
movie, High Plains Drifter.
Or did I make that last bit up...?
