When you're ready to take a photo, press and hold the button in front and to
the left of the film counter window that has the clock symbol next to it --
then press the release button. A red lamp will illuminate on the front of the
camera -- you'll then have approx. 12 seconds before the shutter fires. For
the last two seconds, the red light will flash on and off.
Other info --
Be sure to have what you want sharp within the small circle in the center of
the finder.
Before taking a photo, be sure the red light by the eyepiece has stopped
blinking.
A blinking red light means, "flash isn't ready". A blinking green light
means, "can't focus properly".
Use alkaline batteries only -- normal life is 6-8 rolls of film.
Have fun!
