I hate to admit this, but I had been thinking of getting rid of my OM stuff
for the new Nikon FM3a, but it does not have mirror-lock up, so I will save
my cash (need it for macro and astrophotography).

It should at least lock up the mirror when the self-timer is set. That's as
good as (in this respect) an OM-2S or OM-4 for the macro part. The
self-timer is also mechanical and can be set to go off in a few seconds and
it doesn't wipe out your batteries. (This is judging from the FE2 and FM2,
to which the timer looks similar.)
