DUH,  I do know the difference . Somehow I read aperture. I  tried you
test and all seemed to work ok. I rocked the switch and will see if it
holds. Maybe the switch needed a cleaning.  What has happened is that it
will work a few times and then when I'm out in the field it freezes.
Right now it seems to be working and reading the settings. It's only two
years old and I just started having these problems about 4 months ago.
