Yes, this is the price for zoom, especially when used at 35mm this can be very
anoying.
But this should increase focusing accurany at the cost of focusing speed.
This reminds me to a small 85mm lens comparison. I´ve had the chance to glance
through
a Nikon FM2 with 2/85mm Nikkkor and a Contax with 2.8/85mm Sonnar.
Sure the viewfinder with that type of lens is always fascinating. But when I
started to focus,
I learned why I like my 85mm Zuiko. I´ve to turn , and turn and turn. Both
lenses used almost a
full 360 degree angle, while my Zuiko uses only 180 degree`s to focus from
infinity to
the close point.
(Just a observation, but maybe this a reason why other brands users are more
into AF... ;-)
