Hi, Chris and All!
I've been having the lens 35-105 for some time.
A wonderful lens anyway, but has this one
disadvantage - it is not really 3,5-4,5, it is simply
and only 4,5 dimm.
So, you didn't buy a lemon,
you bought such a lens with such a discomfort.
Regards,
Zbigniew
