Actually, I thought I'd heard that the problem with the Mars Polar
Lander was communication between NASA and a contractor. I thought
someone had told me that all of NASA is metric, they just neglected to
tell their contractors! :-)
Incidentily, I just heard yesterday that they may have found the lander.
