180/2.8's usually sell for $500-700 in normal condition. A little more for
"mint".
(I know this is a bit blasphemous, but...) If you want a more affordable
solution, you should consider a Tamron SP 180/25. I've had both lenses, and
I found that the low dispersion elements in the Tamron made for crisper
images than the Zuiko 180/2.8. And it's substantially cheaper. I see them
on Ebay for $400.

So, the 180 2.8 I have been looking for is on Ebay. The seller quotes B&H's
price of $1,000, which means his/her reserve is close to $800. The current
crummy Canada/U.S. exchange rate will now make this way out of my price
range (sigh). Any guesses as to what it will go for?
