Hi all,
I have seen an OM40 in a local secondhand store, it's a bit of a beater
with dings in the bottom plate & nasty brassing around the strap lugs.
shutter 'sounds' ok as far as manual goes & auto seems to behave
similarly to my OM10. back foam looks like it's reasonably new.
film advance is smooth until the last 30-40 degrees of travel, than
some resistance is felt. takeup clutch seems a little loose but not
really any worse than my 10 (looking for information on this was how I
found the list!).
it comes with a makinon 28mm/2.8 lens for AUD120 (about US $60 given
the really dismal exchange rates!).
I am a little concerned about the film advance, this is the first
working OM40 I have seen. does anybody have any suggestions regarding
this body?
thanks
