It looks like the dog sleds were working overtime today, FedEx was able
to deliver my package this afternoon! Well, it sure is a 35-80/2.8 and
yes, it's in excellent+ condition, almost mint- actually. There were
some "cleaning marks" on the front element, but most of it proved to be
just residue from whatever cleaning solution was used. A good cleaning
with methanol cleared it up nicely. There is however one small 5mm long
hairline scratch near the top edge of the element. I can't see it when
looking through the rear of the lens, so I'm sure spending $300+ to replace
the element isn't justified. The rear element appears fine to me, I wasn't
able to find any marks on it. As unbelievable as this deal may have sounded,
I can now assure you that it's real. The seller did go through with it,
and the item was as described. eBay never ceases to amaze me! Now where's
that $200 350/2.8? :-)
