I think $850 (list) is cheap also. Looking at the specs, the
N*k*n FM3A is about 3/4 of an OM-3 (fully mechanical shutter
from 1 to 1/4000, works without batteries) AND 3/4 of an OM-4
(full aperture-priority auto from 8 to 1/4000 stepless). The
only things missing from the OM-3/4 are spot metering and OTF
metering. But it does have multi-exposure and TTL flash.
Now if Olympus marry the OM-3 with the OM-4 (within the same
dimensions and weight), that would be the ultimate manual
focus camera of all time.
