I've never bought one of John's foam kits but I know that it's not
adhesive backed since I know he cautions against using same... see the
instructions at his site:

Having tried to install adhesive backed foam in a friend's Pentax I can
heartily agree. The cost was lots of aggravation and a blown test roll
of film which showed that it needed to be done over again. I got it
right the second time around from a light leak standpoint but it still
looks ugly. And I don't ever want to use any of that !%$#&^^!@# self
stick foam again... ever!
I agree. Buy one of John's kits and follow his directions.
