10-15 mins to security check. YMMV.

Hi Barry,
I have just returned from a trip to Southerm Africa. I managed
hand inspection in all US locations and South Africa but my film was forced
through the scanner in Namibia and I was lectured to in Zimbabwe and Atlanta
on what a favour they were doing me. My wife had to keep taking pictures of
security guards to prove she was not hiding anything in her p/s. It seems
many guards know that 3200ASA film should not go through so the idea of
taking a few empty cassettes of Delta3200 is probably the easiest way to
reduce confrontation. Some places insisted on opening sealed boxes of film
others only opened unsealed boxes of film! So by the end of the trip all
unopend film boxes had been opened
