This is another strange tradition in our society. I don't know where it came
from, actually, but in Mexico, India and other places, hot spices are used to
kill germs in the food, since the sanitation there is basically non-existant.
Here in America, hot spices are not needed for that purpose. I don't
understand why people think that eating food should be a painful experience.
It is not logical.
