My "P&S" is a Rollei 35S, which is really a subminiature manual camera, and
I love it. Has a multi-coated 40mm f/2.8 Sonnar HFT formulated by Carl
Zeiss with Rollei's multi-coating. Lens is very fast for a camera its
size, and the focal length ideal for a single fixed lens (the 40mm mystique).
Albeit heavier because of the cast metal frame inside, it is smaller than
any 35mm P&S I've seen. Inside it's original case, it fits inside another
padded one with belt loop, and stuffs easily into a lens pocket of the
camera bag. An AF Program Mode P&S would feel out of control.

Hi, everyone!
I've owned a reasonably well-featured P&S for the past 3 years: a Leica
Mini Zoom
. . .
My problem is, I think I'm developing an aversion to this camera! Even
though its results can be very good, I don't feel confident using it.
I'd much rather lug an SLR with a few extra lenses in a bag than use
the Mini Zoom. It's uncomfortable, fiddly, unfriendly and uninspiring.
Do other listees have similar feelings about P&S cameras?
