I too have a p&s which I'm fairly pleased with. It's a Mju-II (Stylus
Epic, I believe, in the US). I don't like the way that eyes come out
demonic-red when used for typical snapshots at parties/gatherings etc
(unless you use the red-eye reduction, which eats batteries and
diminishes spontaneity). I did get some unexpectedly good results
photographing the band in my usual dive, with delta 400 pushed a couple
of stops and a monopod

I think a few may have done - don't see many monopods at all, much less
with dinky little cameras on them. I expect even the other enthusiasts
would stare.
