That's my opinion as well. The reason has been explained to me by one
of our OM experts, namely, that the arc through which the advance lever
travels is shorter in the later models, meaning that it is higher
geared and, thus, stiffer than on the OM-1(n) and OM-2(n). As you say,
the earlier ones are nicer. Same goes for the shutter speed ring, too,
in my experience. :-{
