I know you addressed this to Gary, but allow me a moment-
Respectfully, your question is full of words that are open to interpretation.
Bottom line opinion of mine- Yes, the Viv Ser 1 lenses are quite good, and
would be very useful to you. Is the Zuiko better? Yes. How much better is
dependent on what type of shooting you do, how big an enlargement you make,
what aperture you shoot at. Vivitar Ser 1 28-90 and 28-105 that I have are
very good lenses. I like the 28-90 better. I have several Zuiko zooms, but
not the 35-135. The Viv should give you very good resolution. You shouldn't
be unhappy as long as you get a good example of one. (good condition). The
Zuiko is better, but only you can decide if it's worth it to pay 50% more.
