That's why I used all 14 cells from the 2 Varta 9v NiMh when I did the
rebuild on my M15v. As per the Oly FAQ. I figured that if it could
handle 12 AA alkaline cells at 1.5v each (18v), then it should not have
a problem using 14 1.2v cells from the 9v Varta (16.8v). I did mine
over 2 years ago and it's still going strong with no problems to date.
Only problem overall is that it is VERY crowded in the case with 14
cells.
