MMmm... This is the first time I have heard this bit of caution. My F-280 has
the same set of batteries in it for about a year and they are sure weak. The
last few times I mounted the flash in preparation of shooting indoors, I
think "Should I run downstairs and get fresh batteries?" And I tell myself-
"Naw, you'll just need 2 or 3 flashes this time out." And I leave them in. It
must take 20 - 25 seconds to charge, and it has never failed to fire.
