My sad tale bears repeating. My viewfinder Ricoh crashed just before a
family vacation.
A person who I thought of as a friend at the time loaned me an OM-1 with a
75-150 zoom.
As fate would have it, we were going to Old Orchard Beach Maine, and at the
time it had several large camera and electronics stores.
It was not a pretty sight. After credit cards hit the "max" they accepted
my post-dated check for my very own om-1n md, 50mm macro, 75-150 zoom and
flash unit.
That camera has been with me ever since (81 or 82 ??),
and has grown to include many more items. I would list them, but my spouse
reads this and there are some things better left unsaid....... if you get my
drift. (Just kidding honey!)
And then e-bay....... thousands of opportunities to purchase right at my
fingertips and only at prices I was willing to pay.
How sweet it is.
OOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
:) Ric
