You are in s circumstance very similar to mine. I purchased (for a very
decent price) a very nice 35-105. Very pretty inside (glass) and out
(cosmetic), only problem is that the zoom didn't zoom. I sent it off to
Camtech and after examining it, he said a sleeve or something inside was
out of round. No parts available from Olympus of course. So, I'm
looking for a "beater" 35-105 that works mechanically. I do feel your
pain!
