I'll take it, since nobody said otherwise, that the PX625A is an alkaline
1.5v battery. If I'm wrong, someone correct me. Anyway...

Thanks, Joel, for confirming my understanding about the silver oxides.

I just did that, actually. Thanks for suggesting it.

That's my understanding from reading previous thread, too. Thanks for
confirming it.

Since you asked, the work was done by:
Vito Paloulian
Multi Camera Repairs

Arcadia, CA 91006
Phone: 626-446-4054
E-mail: vitoarmani@xxxxxxx
Vito has now worked on all three of my OM bodies (OM-10, OM-2, and
OM-1), and I'm VERY pleased at the quality of his work. All three came
back in perfect working order and looking like they just came out of the
box new.
My OM-10 had some physical damage (my now-ex-wife carved my
initials on the top assembly by the viewfinder, and I mucked the bottom
assembly by attaching it too firmly to a tripod), as well as problems with
the ON/OFF/Battery switch. The OM-2 needed some adjustments, and
the OM-1 got a like-new prism, major surgery on the metering system,
and minor surgery on the self-timer. All three bodies got a good bath,
and new light seals and mirror foam.
Anyway, Vito did an excellent job on all three bodies, and his pricing
was reasonable. (I did get a discount because he did all 3 bodies, but
his "list" price was pretty good to start with.) His turnaround time was
great (3 weeks) on the OM-10, and a little longer (but acceptable) on the
other two (more work, I guess).
In short, he's got my recommendation as a good source for service
should anyone's OM need a helping hand.
Regards,
Chris
