I have a Rollei P-37 slide projector. I think that these were not made in
Germany but in Brazil or something and were not an official Rollei product.
It is an OK projector but one that takes its own specialized trays. I've
never seen these particular circular trays available anywhere else and I only
have two. The zoom lens I have with this a Haminex 60 to 110 is a wonderful
lens. The original Rollei Projar is a plastic waste of hydrocarbons.
I also have a low end Kodak. I would get an upper end Kodak. Don't buy a
Kodak lens but get a Schneider, Doktor lens, Apollo 100/2.8 flat field, Buhl
series 7(not ser 1), Navitar 2"/2.8 flat field or Ranox 100/2.8. These
projectors are all repairable and replacement parts are still being made by
third parties does to the numbers still floating out there. I still need a
better lens than the zoom that came with it. But I find that I just scan and
look at it. This takes much more time but...
