I need a -1.5 also and what I use is a -2 on my OM2s.  This works fine for 
me.  You have a choice of the eye cup 1 or the eye cup 2 and I find the 2 to 
work better as you can still open the camera back to change film with the 2. 
With the one, which is really more of an eyecup, you have to remove it to 
change film.  That's my 2 cents worth and I guess the proof is in the 
pudding. I'd try the eyecup before I tried the scalpel or contacts.
