I didn't even think that point needed to be raised. Folks who are looking
for soft to moderate contrast lenses tend to be looking for older or cheaper
lenses which are more moderately priced, not a modern lens which is clearly
designed for high-end professional usage, with all of today's premium on
high contrast and razor-sharp resolution. ;-)

Avoid the 35-80/2.8, despite the 16 elements the contrast is not low.
