I base that statement on Gary Reese's SQF lens tests at
http://members.aol.com/olympusom/lenstests/default.htm
The 135/2.8 in his tests is generally a "B" performer.
Notice that it does not keep me from using the lens. I have no issues with
it's performance of the duties I have called upon it to do - I was merely
noting that it is not 'stellar'.
