I sent in a used OM-4 I got from KEH to Olympus for repairs and then moved
from the house to another about two miles away before the camera came
back. UPS (I call them oops because of all the things I see dropped or
tumbled at the terminal) left the repaired body on the front steps of the
empty house. I called Olympus to complain after it had not shown up for
two months. Next thing I know, I receive a new T4 from Olympus that UPS
had paid for.
I also got a replacement phone answering machine to replace one lost after
I sent it to AT&T for repairs, but to the wrong address, and the price of a
subwoofer I bought on eBay that arrived damaged was covered. All paid for
by UPS. BTW, the subwoofer still works fine.
They do make mistakes, but at least for me, they stand by their insurance.
